A New York federal judge on Friday trimmed away the majority of claims lodged by a proposed class alleging G.M. Collin falsely touted the effectiveness of its line of anti-aging skin care products, finding some state law fraud claims not specific enough while allowing others to stay.

G.M. Collin was hit Wednesday with a proposed class action in New York that accuses the beauty products maker of deceptive, "hoax" marketing a line of anti-aging skin care products that don't offer the miraculous health benefits they claim.
