Gilstrap Hands Out Fee Awards After Nixing EDekka Patent
U.S. District Judge Rodney Gilstrap on Tuesday awarded $390,829 in attorneys' fees to ASICS America, Mars and 22 other companies that nonpracticing entity eDekka had accused of infringing its Web shopping cart patent, after finding the patent to be "clearly" invalid under Alice.
