A New York federal judge granted summary judgment on Monday to AIG Specialty Insurance Co. in a dispute with Colony Insurance Co. over whether AIG had to help cover a $5 million settlement plus defense costs arising from a construction-defect dispute, saying the settlement, though reached during the policy period, was related to a pre-policy dispute.
