    Gilstrap Hands Kroger Rewards Program IP Win Under Alice

    U.S. District Judge Rodney Gilstrap on Thursday zapped an infringement suit lodged against The Kroger Co. over its computerized membership rewards program, saying the patent claims cover an abstract idea not eligible for protection per a two-part test under U.S. Supreme Court's Alice decision.
