SEC Sues Interinvest For $17M Conflicted Penny Stock Buys
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission sued Interinvest Corp. Inc. in Massachusetts federal court on Tuesday and urged a judge to grant an immediate asset freeze, saying it funneled $17 million of client money to four penny stock companies that paid Interinvest's owner large consulting fees.
