Plaintiffs in six of seven putative class actions pending in federal court against Plains All American Pipeline LP after one of its pipelines ruptured near Santa Barbara, California, on Tuesday moved to consolidate their cases in the Central District of California.

The oil spill in Santa Barbara County, California, continues to be a pipeline for lawsuits, most recently a putative class action filed Tuesday in federal court by a local tour guide claiming Plains All American Pipeline LP could've prevented it by installing an automatic shutoff valve.
