Noose Alone Doesn't Prove Civil Rights Claim, 7th Circ. Says
The Seventh Circuit on Tuesday affirmed the dismissal of a black employee's racial discrimination suit against Northern Illinois University, saying the employee's discovery of a noose in his workspace could not be pinned on the university and thus did not meet all aspects required to prove a civil rights violation.
