A New York federal judge has granted a request to consolidate several putative class actions filed by futures traders accusing several banks of orchestrating a conspiracy to rig foreign exchange markets, appointing Scott & Scott Attorneys at Law LLP as interim co-lead counsel of the exchange-traded class.

Six major banks are facing a putative class action in New York federal court from investors for their alleged roles in a scheme to manipulate the foreign exchange market, for which four of the banks in May agreed to plead guilty to criminal charges and five agreed to pay more than $5.6 billion to settle claims.
