Insurer Needn't Defend Broker In Fraud Suit, Judge Says
Westport Insurance Co. doesn't have to defend or indemnify an insurance broker in a suit alleging that it wrongfully withheld premium payments from an insurer client, an Illinois federal judge ruled Thursday, finding that the underlying action doesn't seek any damages covered by the Westport policy.
