Web Hosting Sites Largely Shielded From Data Breach Claims
Amazon Web Services Inc. and GoDaddy.com LLC recently slipped out of a suit brought by three former Ashley Madison users by agreeing to comply with future court orders to remove hacked data posted on their sites, and other hosting sites are likely to easily skirt such claims as long as they remain passive conduits for the stolen data, attorneys say.
