An Arizona federal judge on Tuesday ruled against Greyhound Lines Inc. on its claims that Viad Corp. should have paid for environmental cleanup costs at a Seattle property, saying that the bus company missed a deadline to let Viad know of various types of contamination at the site.

An Arizona federal judge Monday denied a bid from Greyhound Lines Inc. to exclude the testimony of an expert witness from Viad Corp. in the bus company's suit over environmental cleanup cost responsibility from fuel leaks, saying he wouldn't toss the testimony over allegedly undisclosed documents.

Greyhound Lines Inc. filed suit against its former parent company Friday, alleging Viad Corp. is attempting to shirk responsibility for environmental cleanup costs from fuel leaks at several sites that occurred before the company changed hands in the late 1980s.
