A Georgia federal judge on Thursday decided to keep together the breach of contract and bad faith claims bitcoin processor BitPay Inc. leveled against Massachusetts Bay Insurance Co. in a dispute over coverage of $1.85 million BitPay lost in a phishing attack, finding it would conserve judicial resources.

Massachusetts Bay Insurance Co. reasserted its call Tuesday for a Georgia federal court to break off bitcoin processor BitPay Inc.'s bad faith claim in a suit accusing the insurer of breaching a commercial crime policy by refusing to cover $1.85 million of the digital currency BitPay lost in a phishing attack.
