EMC Corp. on Wednesday told a Massachusetts federal court that it should stay or dismiss a pair of proposed class actions filed by shareholders over the company's $67 billion sale to Dell, saying there are nine cases pending in state courts already.

An EMC Corp. shareholder slapped the company, its directors and Dell Inc. with a proposed class action in Massachusetts district court on Friday over allegations that the company's $67 billion sale shortchanges shareholders and prevents them from profiting off the company's future success.
