An NFL player hit one of the top daily fantasy sports companies with a publicity rights suit Friday, but experts say the suit faces a major hurdle because federal case law already says athletes don't have a publicity right to their name and stats when it comes to fantasy sports.

Daily fantasy sports company FanDuel is usurping the publicity rights of NFL players without permission, wide receiver Pierre Garcon says in a putative class action filed Friday in Maryland federal court, as the legal woes for the fantasy sports industry continue to mount.
