7th Circ. Won't Rehear Order To Pay $6M Stranger Policy
The Seventh Circuit on Thursday declined Sun Life Assurance Co. of Canada's for the full court to rehear an October panel ruling that the insurer showed bad faith by refusing to pay U.S. Bank NA after it took over a $6 million life insurance policy apparently taken out by a stranger to the now-deceased.
