    Liberty Mutual Insurance Co., which fronted its policyholder $4 million to settle construction defect claims last month, has asked a Pennsylvania federal court to place half of the deal's cost on the construction company's excess insurer, arguing that a $2 million policy limit applies because the defects constituted one occurrence.
