Sex Orientation Bias Covered Under Title VII, NY Judge Says
Even though the Second Circuit doesn't currently recognize discrimination based on sexual orientation as being protected under Title VII, a New York federal judge has ruled that it is in fact covered under the statute, citing a recent concurrence by the circuit's top judge that existing precedent on the issue should be reviewed if an appropriate case arises.
