    La. Judge Strikes Marriage Law Favoring US-Born Citizens

    A Louisiana federal judge on Tuesday permanently blocked a Louisiana state law that had prevented foreign-born individuals from securing a marriage license without presenting a certified birth certificate and only granted a waiver of the requirement to U.S.-born applicants, saying the law is unconstitutional.
