CORRECTION: Shareholder Suit Claims Bank Had Hidden Fraudster Ties
Banc of California Inc. and its former top executives hid extensive ties with admitted fraudster Jason Galanis, a shareholder class action alleged Monday. Correction: A previous version of the article misstated that WilmerHale had a prior relationship with the Banc of California. That was not the case. Winston & Strawn, not WilmerHale, had the original relationship with the company. WilmerHale had no previous connection to the Banc of California and was only retained later by a special committee of the board of directors to conduct an independent investigation. Law360 deeply regrets the error.
