Two retirement funds battled it out in North Carolina federal court Tuesday to become lead plaintiff in a shareholder suit against energy company Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises Inc. involving a 39 percent stock drop, with both funds arguing that they have larger financial stakes in the case than the competition.
