An Eastern District of Texas judge on Wednesday tossed a $210 million patent suit against Frontier Communications Corp. brought by "serial litigant" Blue Spike, after Frontier accused the patent holder of suing the wrong entity and making more than 140 pages of boilerplate accusations.

Frontier Communications Corp. on Wednesday urged an Eastern District of Texas judge to rule in its favor in a $210 million patent suit filed by "serial litigant" Blue Spike, saying that the data-patent holder failed to do its due diligence by suing the wrong entity and making more than 140 pages of boilerplate accusations.

Frontier Communication Corp. was sued for more than $210 million in Texas federal court Thursday by data patent holder Blue Spike, which claims the communications company's FiOS TV service infringes 11 patents related to watermark embedding technologies.
