The parent company of upstart concussion testing program XLNTbrain has hit back against a false advertising suit filed late last year by a well-established rival, calling the suit "frivolous" and threadbare, and asking a Maryland federal court to toss it.

Concussion testing company Impact Applications Inc. sued competitor Concussion Management LLC on Friday, alleging the company has misled customers into thinking its products have been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and are better than Impact's products.
