Firm's Debt Collection Did Cause 'Slight' Harm, Judge Says
A New Jersey federal judge on Friday rejected a bid by debt-collecting law firm Selip & Stylianou LLP to spike a proposed class action alleging that it attempted to collect excessive amounts from a man in credit card debt, saying the firm's apparent mistake caused real harm, "however slight."
