Wishbone App Maker Escapes Suit Over 2020 Data Breach
A California federal judge has scrapped a putative class action over a data breach that hit social media app Wishbone, finding that the plaintiff's assertions that the incident had put him at increased risk for identity theft and decreased the "inherent value" of his data weren't enough to give him standing to sue.
