Former Comcast cable installation technicians asked a Pennsylvania federal judge Monday to formally dismiss a proposed class action alleging a subsidiary of the company failed to pay for work completed before and after their shifts and during meal breaks, saying they reached a settlement.

Comcast Corp. and a subsidiary shorted cable installation technicians on pay by not compensating them for work before and after shifts and during unpaid meal breaks or reimbursing for business expenses, the workers said in a proposed class and collective action in Pennsylvania federal court.
