Flagstar Bancorp has asked a Michigan federal judge to toss a class action by a group of customers who claim a 2021 cyberattack that compromised the personal data of more than 1.5 million bank customers was preventable, saying the customers have not established that they suffered a concrete injury as a result of the attack.

Attorneys from Morgan & Morgan and Stueve Siegel Hanson LLP were appointed interim lead counsel for a proposed class action in a Michigan federal court related to a data breach that allegedly compromised the Social Security numbers of more than 1.5 million Flagstar Bank customers' in 2021.
