La. Pushes To Amend Suit Over New Horseracing Regulations
Louisiana and other states mounting a legal challenge to new federal horseracing rules accused a newly created private regulatory authority of trying to stall the court proceedings by moving to scrap an updated version of the lawsuit that names additional equine organizations as plaintiffs.

FTC Implements Horse Racing Rules Despite La. Lawsuit
A new set of federal horse racing regulations went into effect under the Horseracing Integrity and Safety Act on Friday despite a last-minute request from the State of Louisiana for a temporary restraining order that would delay implementation while a lawsuit against the new rules makes its way through the Louisiana Western District Court.
