Meta Platforms Inc. on Thursday urged a California federal judge to toss a proposed securities class action alleging the social media giant and its executives misled investors about its products' harmful effects and its efforts to stop misinformation, arguing the lawsuit relies on "highly generalized" nonactionable statements and unreliable internal documents.
