    Ex-Chiefs' Tribal Courts Bid 'Legally Untenable,' Tribe Says

    An entity purporting to represent the Alabama-Quassarte Tribal Town in Oklahoma said leaders allegedly ousted from the tribe can't have it both ways, telling an Oklahoma federal judge that the reportedly expelled chiefs have used federal law in attempts to "impose a dictatorship" on the tribe while simultaneously contending the dispute belongs in tribal courts.
