    A New York federal judge trimmed a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission suit accusing former top executives at now-bankrupt MoviePass Inc. of duping investors through false and misleading statements about the subscription service's profitability, ruling Thursday that the agency has identified a scheme but fell short in proving that the misstatements were made "to obtain money or property."
