No Fees For Amazon Over Foe's 'Exceptionally Poor' Conduct
A Texas federal judge on Tuesday declined Amazon's request for approximately $168,000 in attorney fees and sanctions after it successfully fended off a patent infringement suit, saying his decision to toss the complaint with prejudice after finding the plaintiff litigated the case in an "exceptionally poor manner" was a sufficient sanction.

Texas Patent Attorney Dinged Over Missed-Filing Excuses
A Texas federal judge has said he won't reopen a patent infringement suit against Amazon that he tossed earlier this year, rebuking the plaintiff's attorney for recycling excuses as to why he never filed a response to the company's motion to dismiss the case.
