A D.C. federal judge on Monday granted Twin Pine Materials LLC's request to move a lawsuit over federal decisions allowing a surface mine near the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge in south Georgia to a Peach State district court.

The Army Corps of Engineers illegally removed Clean Water Act protections from land in the Okefenokee Swamp where a mining project is planned, environmental groups said in a lawsuit filed Tuesday.
