A Colorado company that makes ankle-monitoring devices which detect alcohol consumption is ready to strike a deal to end a proposed class action filed by a man who claims he was injured by one of its anklets after he was sentenced to wear one for seven months.

An alcohol monitoring company wants a putative class action lawsuit for DUI convicts who say they were injured by its alcohol monitoring bracelet dismissed partly because the named plaintiff hasn't pled enough detail about the condition or his own handling of the device, failing to explain the nature of the particular defect, according to the company's motion to dismiss.
