Judge Mark G. Mastroianni: ELECTRONIC ORDER entered granting 26 Plaintiff's Motion for Extension of Time to Respond to Order to Show Cause. Plaintiff shall file his response to the court's show-cause order by October 9, 2026. Although the court grants Plaintiff's motion, it notes that Plaintiff did not comply with Local Rule 7.1(a)(2), which states: "No motion shall be filed unless counsel certify that they have conferred and have attempted in good faith to resolve or narrow the issue." Although Plaintiff is proceeding pro se, and therefore is not "counsel," the court interprets Local Rule 7.1(a)(2) to require conferral by and with pro se litigants. Any future motions, by either party, shall comply with Local Rule 7.1(a)(2) and indicate whether the opposing party assents or opposes the requested relief. (TRL)
