TEXT ORDER: Pro se plaintiff moves for reconsideration of the court's order denying his request for appointed counsel in this civil rights case. Doc. no. 109. In that motion, he also seeks leave to supplement the record to support his request for appointed counsel and asks to extend the deadline for summary judgment until his motions for appointed counsel and recusal are resolved. Plaintiff's motion for recusal was denied and, therefore, is resolved. Doc. no. 106. Plaintiff's motion for appointed counsel, doc. no. 107, was denied and his motion for reconsideration of that order, doc. no. 109, is also denied. The deadline for motions for summary judgment is July 10, 2026, and plaintiff's response will be due August 12, 2026. Margin Order June 23, 2026. The same deadlines pertain in the event plaintiff moves for summary judgment by July 10, making defendants' responses due by August 12, 2026. No extensions of those deadlines are necessary. TEXT ORDER: In its June 26, 2026 order, the Court ordered Mr. Persaud to file an amended complaint fully complying with Rules 8(a)(2) and 10(b) and setting forth allegations consistent only with his employment discrimination allegations against URI, its Board Chair, and its employees. Order on Mot. to Dismiss and Sua Sponte Dismissal (ECF No. 44). On June 29, 2026, Mr. Persaud submitted an amended complaint. Am. Compl. (Filed Pursuant to Ct. Order of June 26, 2026) (ECF No. 46). In its June 26, 2026 order, the Court noted that the Defendants may, if they wish to do so, file a new motion to dismiss based on the newly framed allegations, but the Court did not require them to do so. Should Defendants elect to file a new motion to dismiss, the Court ORDERS Defendants Fariello, Motta, Viens, and Boss to do so within two weeks of the date of this order. Regarding Plaintiff's Motion for Extension of Time to Complete Service (ECF No. 23), the Court continues to DEFER action on this motion until after any newly-filed motion to dismiss is resolved.
