Judge Indira Talwani: ELECTRONIC ORDER: Plaintiff has filed a Motion for Leave to Register for Electronic Filing and for Remote Appearances [ 76 ]. The court ALLOWS the Motion [ 76 ] insofar as Plaintiff seeks permission to file electronically. Pro se litigants must have an individual PACER account to electronically file in the District of Massachusetts and must register to E-file. To register for a PACER account, go the PACER website at https://pacer.uscourts.gov/register-account. To register to E-file, follow the instructions on our website at https://www.mad.uscourts.gov/caseinfo/nextgen-pro-se.htm. If the Massachusetts District Court is not in the dropdown list of courts, please email prosefiling@mad.uscourts.gov with the docket number so your account can be updated allowing you to E-file. The Motion [ 76 ] also requests that the court “[o]rder all status conferences, motion hearings, and scheduling conferences be conducted remotely via Zoom telephonic conference[.]” At present, no proceedings requiring Plaintiff’s attendance have been scheduled. Accordingly, this portion of the Motion [ 76 ] is DENIED as premature. Should an in-person conference, hearing, or other proceeding be scheduled, Plaintiff may renew her request to appear remotely. The Motion [ 76 ] requests finally that the court “provide at least thirty (30) days’ advance notice [if a trial is scheduled] to accommodate the substantial financial and logistical planning” Plaintiff anticipates should she relocate out of Massachusetts. It is the court’s practice to schedule trials with at least thirty days’ notice, and, accordingly, this portion of the Motion [Doc. No. 76] is DENIED as moot. (MAP)
