Lawyer Survey Reveals Brightening Associate Job Market

By Aebra Coe (March 19, 2015, 5:31 PM EDT) -- The job market for newly minted associates is showing signs of improvement, with nearly a third of lawyers who responded to a recent survey reporting that their firms plan to increase entry-level hiring in the next year, legal staffing firm Robert Half Legal said Thursday.

Robert Half said it surveyed 350 lawyers with hiring authority in the U.S. and Canada — half at firms with 20 or more employees and the other half at firms with 1,000 or more employees — and discovered that 32 percent say their employers plan to increase hiring of entry-level associates in the next 12 months,...
