DLA Piper Hit As Global Hack Shuts Down Networks

Law360, New York (June 27, 2017, 11:48 AM EDT) -- Global law firm DLA Piper was among the several international companies and agencies hit with a ransomware attack that spread across Europe and the U.S., taking down many of the firm's phone and email systems Tuesday.

A spokesperson for DLA Piper confirmed Tuesday that the firm was having issues with certain systems thought to be caused by malware.  A U.S. spokesperson for the firm told Law360 that DLA, "like many other reported companies, has experienced issues with some of its systems due to suspected malware. We are taking steps to remedy the issue as quickly as possible."
