Dow Accuses Rivals Of Ripping Off Paint Polymers

Law360, New York (December 2, 2013, 5:17 PM EST) -- The Dow Chemical Co. filed an amended complaint at the U.S. International Trade Commission on Wednesday, alleging a competitor operating in Turkey and the Netherlands imported patent-infringing paint polymers into the U.S. and stole trade secrets from former Dow employees.

Dow and its Rohm and Haas Co. subsidiary filed an amended complaint against Organik Kimya San. ve Tic. AS, Organik Kimya Netherlands BV and Organik Kimya U.S. Inc., saying the companies had manufactured and imported products that infringe their opaque polymers, which are used to make paint opaque.
