Deloitte, HR Officer Slapped With Sex Harassment Suit

By Jeff Sistrunk (April 29, 2014, 11:21 PM EDT) -- Deloitte LLP and one of its human resources officers were hit with a lawsuit Tuesday in New York court, by an independent contractor claiming that the officer interfered with her work in retaliation for her repeatedly rejecting his sexual advances and that Deloitte terminated her contract when she reported the alleged harassment.

In a 12-count complaint, Kim Valentini-Shamsky alleges she lost out on more than $3 million in fees between 2007 and 2012 as a result of the harassment, discrimination and retaliation by Deloitte and Louis Bastone, who worked as a talent director for the firm during the relevant period....
