Aussie Gold Producer Inks $597M Deal For Atlantic Gold
Law360 (May 15, 2019, 3:34 PM EDT) -- Australian gold producer and explorer St Barbara said Wednesday it has agreed to snap up Canada-based Atlantic Gold in an all-cash deal, which boasts a CA$802 million ($596.8 million) enterprise value, steered by five firms including Paul Weiss.
St Barbara Ltd. said that through its subsidiary Nord Pacific Ltd. it will pay CA$2.90 for each Atlantic Gold Corp. share, adding that the deal does not include Atlantic Gold’s interest in Velocity Minerals Ltd. — an Eastern Europe-focused gold exploration and development company that St Barbara said will be spun off after the deal closes.
