Sierra Club Asks DC Appeals Court To Block Gas Export

Law360, New York (June 17, 2016, 7:01 PM EDT) -- The Sierra Club is asking the D.C. Court of Appeals to review a U.S. Department of Energy decision to approve a Dominion Resources Inc. unit's plan to export natural gas.

On Wednesday, the environmental group filed a petition asking the court to review the agency's decision last month to allow Dominion subsidiary Dominion Cove Point to export up to 1 billion cubic feet of liquid natural gas a day from its terminal in Maryland.
