Honeywell Unit Says Beazley Must Cover Refining Tech Row

Law360, New York (December 5, 2017, 8:00 PM EST) -- A unit of industrial giant Honeywell International Inc. hit Beazley Insurance Co. with a suit in Connecticut federal court Monday demanding coverage for an underlying lawsuit over problems with refining technology licensed to a Saudi Arabian chemicals company.

Process technology specialist UOP LLC says in its complaint that the underlying suit is clearly covered under a broad policy that Honeywell purchased from Beazley, which names UOP as an additional insured. The insurer nonetheless denied its claim in May, UOP says.
