UK Must Get Parliamentary OK For Brexit, Court Rules

Law360, London (November 3, 2016, 11:59 AM GMT) -- The U.K.'s High Court on Thursday ruled that the government needs parliamentary permission before it can kick-start the process to quit the European Union, in a landmark ruling which limits the scope of Prime Minister Theresa May’s executive powers.

The U.K. government has lost the case challenging its authority to trigger Brexit without parliamentary approval.
