MINUTE entry before the Honorable Martha M. Pacold: Plaintiff moves for a two-week extension of the summary judgment briefing schedule 149 . The motion was filed merely two business days before Plaintiff's deadline to file a motion for summary judgment. Plaintiff indicates that Defendant objects to the motion. 150 . Plaintiff's counsel explains that he is unable to comply with the original briefing schedule because he has been engaged in depositions and hearings in other matters during the month of May and because he had a previously scheduled vacation over the Memorial Day holiday. Id. at 1. These reasons do not justify waiting to request an extension until two business days before the deadline. However, because the extension is relatively modest, the court grants the motion 149 . This extension is final. Any motion for summary judgment to be filed by 6/22/2026.
