Fla. Breathes New Life Into Assisted Living Reform

Law360, New York (May 11, 2015, 12:27 PM EDT) -- After several years of trying, the Florida Legislature this year passed a comprehensive assisted living facility reform bill. The bill was originally introduced in the Florida House of Representatives and, after several amendments, it passed the House of Representatives and Florida Senate unanimously. If signed into law by Gov. Rick Scott, this legislation will become effective on July 1, 2015, and will significantly impact the licensure and operation of ALFs.
