Fla. Legislature Reaches Deal To Address Medical Marijuana

Law360, Miami (June 7, 2017, 10:18 PM EDT) -- Medical marijuana legalization was added to the agenda as a three-day special session of the Florida Legislature started Wednesday, with the Senate and House having reached a compromise on guidelines for implementing a constitutional amendment that state voters passed in November.

Although the so-called Amendment 2 received support from 71 percent of voters, the two chambers found themselves at an impasse when the regular session ended last month, unable to agree on needed rules.
