AHA Urges HHS Watchdog To Pare Medicare Penalty Changes

Law360, Washington (July 8, 2014, 4:07 PM EDT) -- The American Hospital Association on Monday urged the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' watchdog to pull back some of its proposed changes to Medicare and Medicaid penalties for fraudulent overpayments and exclusion actions, claiming the proposals are overbroad remedies or that they run contrary to the Affordable Care Act.
