Deals Rumor Mill: Duke, McKesson, China Development Bank

By Benjamin Horney (June 21, 2016, 6:30 PM EDT) -- Duke Energy has put its Latin America power plants up for sale, and prospective suitors include Canada's Brookfield Asset Management Inc. and China Three Gorges Corp., according to a report from Bloomberg on Tuesday. According to the report, the assets could be worth upward of $2 billion, and Chinese state-owned electricity company State Power Investment Corp. is also potentially interested in bidding. The assets in question include about 4,400 megawatts of generating capacity in Central and South America, the report said, with half the assets located in Brazil. The rest are in Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala and Peru, the report added....
