Skadden Guides Austria's Uniqa In $531M PE Fund Sale

Law360, New York (September 13, 2013, 11:00 AM EDT) -- Austrian insurer Uniqa on Friday said it will sell a portfolio of several dozen private equity funds worth a combined €400 million ($531 million) to a global investor pool as it continues to sharpen its focus on core insurance operations in Central and Eastern Europe.

The private equity assets up for sale include a bundle of direct fund interests, secondary funds and funds of funds, the insurer said. It will complete the divestment through a series of transactions divided into phases and expects to close out...
